All rising 6th, 7th and 8th grade students are welcome to tryout for our teams at Southern Middle School as long as they meet the criteria listed below. Football is the one exception for 6th grade eligibility. You must be a 7th or 8th grade student to participate in Football.
All athletes must meet the following criteria in order to try out for all sports:
- Pass at least three core classes for previous semester. (This does not apply to the Fall semester for rising 6th grade students)
- Have attended school 85% of the time during the previous semester. (This does not apply to the Fall semester for rising 6th grade students)
- Have a current sports physical on file. (This is NOT the same as school enrollment health form)
- Owe less than $50.00 in school fees
- Have created a student and parent account in BigTeams and completed ALL pre-participation forms. Click here to create/update your account BigTeams Sign-In Page.
